Dr. Kristi Bradford, Executive Director of Better Basics, recently spoke to the Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club. Bradford is a Trussville resident and formerly a teacher and counselor in the Trussville City Schools system.
Better Basics is a literacy organization that has made a tremendous difference in children who either cannot read or are reading below their grade level. In 25 years, it has helped almost 25,000 students in grades K-12 in six school systems and has given away over 47,000 books and also help with math intervention.
