Starnes Publishing, the publishers of Cahaba Sun, held its first Women in Business networking event April 11 at Vulcan Park and Museum.
The event brought together female business owners, operators and employees for an evening of networking, speakers, drinks and hors d’oeuvres provided by Savoie Catering.
Bebe Goodrich of Icebox Coffee and Alison Grizzle, the founder of Clearview Strategy Partners and the director of organizational development at Starnes Publishing, both spoke on the importance of creating a network of support to help achieve success in business. Girls, Inc. President and CEO Connie Hill spoke about the work her organization is doing to make young girls “strong, smart and bold,” and how women can help mentor the next generation.
