A dinner theater performance of “Clue on Stage” isscheduled for Oct. 11.
A dinner theater performance of “Clue on Stage” is offered to the public through the collaborative efforts of Arts Council of the Trussville Area Theatre and the Trussville Public Library. Based on the film that was inspired by the popular board game, the play is a comedic whodunit that follows Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock and Mustard as they race to find a murderer inside Boddy Manor.
Though this will be the first full play from ACTA to be performed at the library, the theater has offered event previews by acting out a handful of scenes free of charge. Upon hearing of the success of similar events at other libraries in the area, Trussville Adult Services Librarian Maura Davies sought ways to expand the collaboration with ACTA.
“We feel it’s important to partner with other likeminded organizations in the community to bring entertainment, culture and enrichment,” Davies said.
The family-friendly event is scheduled for Oct. 11. Tickets are $25 each and include a meal served at 6:00 p.m., with the performance immediately following. Because seating is limited, those interested are encouraged not to delay in purchasing tickets through the Trussville Public Library or by visiting trussvillelibrary.com.
Regular run dates for ACTA’s production of “Clue on Stage” are September 26-28 and October 3-8, with tickets available through actatheater.com.
“We hope to continue doing collaborative projects with ACTA in the future,” Davies said.
