The Hewitt Trussville Huskies placed second overall in Division 1 at the Crank Down in Tiger Town mountain bike race in Auburn in March, behind first by a slim margin of only 22 points. The tight, technical course was challenging, but several of riders placed in the top 10 out of nearly 250 high school riders.
Varsity Boys– racing 15.3 miles
Brandon Weir took first and won by more than 1 minute and 30 seconds. He continues to hold the Leader’s jersey.
JV Boys – racing 11.5 miles
Austin Hicks placed third. He currently holds the Leader’s jersey.
