Three Trussville students recently competed in the Alabama Council on the Arts Visual Arts Achievement Program District 4A show at Altamont School on Feb. 18.
Hewitt-Trussville Middle student Jaymie Hornsby won a blue ribbon with her self-portrait. HTHS student Jessica Gagliano was a district winner in 2D Design, which means she will compete at the state level. HTHS student Juan Campbell won an award of distinction for his 3D sculpture.
