State Senator Shay Shelnutt, TACC Board President Jeremy Tuggle, City Councilman Jef Freeman, TACC Executive Director Diane Poole, speaker Ken Lass, Mayor Buddy Choat and City Councilman Brian Plant at the First Responders’ Luncheon on May 24.
The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce said ‘thank you’ to Trussville’s first responders for their service to the chamber and to the community at the 4th Annual First Responders Luncheon. The event was held on May 24 at the Trussville Civic Center.
The speaker for the breakfast was former WVTM Channel 13 anchor Ken Lass, who shared his fictitious ‘Top 5 Reasons Why First Responders Do What They Do.’ His listed reasons included money, glamour and just plain fun. He added that first responders did make the ‘most underappreciated’ category, and he thanked them in 10 different languages.
Presenting sponsor for the event was Active Sales. Gold sponsors were Brumlow Legal Group, EIB Systems – Lynn Taul and Jamie Overton and Amerex Corporation. Silver sponsors were Bryant Bank, The Grogan Agency, Image Craft, The McPherson Companies and Riders Harley-Davidson.
